The John D. "Bud" Hawk Elementary at Jackson Park included the construction of a new K-6 elementary school adjacent to an existing occupied school. This posed a unique challenge when it came to accessing the construction site. The entrance from the street was to be shared with student, teacher, parent, and bus transportation access. The safety of the students and staff was paramount to our team's approach to planning. Prior to construction starting, several logistics related to phasing of the project were carefully planned to minimize disruption and maximize safety for students and staff.
Aldrich was open and straightforward with our team members in a manner that allowed us to trust in the process. Knowing that we could count on our team members to assist with problem-solving, and that there was consistency in expectations and delivery, gave integrity and positive momentum to our project. I have nothing but praise for Aldrich's follow-through and responsiveness.
